Speaking on the urgent needs of Haiti was Chad W. Bissonnette, Co-founder and Executive Director of Roots of Development. He spoke with such passion, moving the crowd.

This event also celebrated the following 2016 Honorees:

Haiti Cherie was created by Fabrice J. Armand, a philanthropist, producer, and President of  Fabrice J. Armand Group. They raise funds for charities that creates sustainable change in his native Haiti. The event was first launched in 2010 following the devastating earthquake in Haiti that killed over 300,000 people. The funds raised will provide support for the reconstruction of the country. The event honors professionals who have excelled in their fields have been supporters of Haiti. He has raised more than $350,000 for relief and rebuilding efforts of Haiti.

According to Fabrice, this event has become a unifying moment for the Haitian diaspora and friends of Haiti in New York City. The event presents an excellent opportunity for successful Haitian Professionals to network and build with people from all over the Diaspora. “Haiti Cherie is not just about raising funds for worthy charities back home,” said Armand.

Fabrice was honored and elected in 2011 as the youngest person to ever serve on the Board of the Haiti Cultural Exchange, a nonprofit organization established to develop, present and promote the cultural expressions of the Haitian people.
