What does it mean to be a woman and a brand? What does it take to be both? and successful?
Oprah Winfrey, who is my mentor and a woman I highly look up to; she is also one of the most powerful brands in the country. People and businesses know that Oprah can sell anything and make it a Super success, reflecting 7 and 8 digits to the bottom-line.
What is the brand?
“Brand” is what your prospect thinks of when he or she hears your brand name. It’s everything the public thinks it knows about your name brand offers. (according to Forbes)
Being a woman in business and a brand means you connect on many levels of your audience. That your back story is very similar if not the same as many other women in your audience. Whether 20, 30, 40 or 50+, your story is relatable .
As a business woman, I think we bring a more conscious and tender way of doing business. This is not say that we are weak. NO! We have a desire to truly impact our audience in a more higher elevation. We want to help. We want to provide great, impacting work. We care about what we are creating and providing, far more so than men in business.
Therefore, such brands as Martha Stewart have this as well of wanting to give the best at all times and its relatable to Martha’s lifestyle, for we can see it and connect with it. Women, who are also housewives, stay at home mothers desire to make the best foods to make a bed look luxurious, to folding the perfect sheets.
Living as a woman and a brand when in business is a must, resulting in greater success and stronger loyalty of fans, buyers, investors, etc.. Its a special blend that makes a space in each person’s life without even a thought. You just make room for it because the brand has become a part of your daily lifestyle.
