Debbie Harry of BLONDIE rocked the house at the Third Annual Dance to Unite Benefit on May 3rd, 2016 at Avenues: The World School in New York.

This celebration was filled with dance and live performances, tasty hors d’oeuvres and desserts plus fine wine, and a live auction which included the following items: dance lessons, airline tickets, and special tickets to performances throughout New York.

Dance To Unite raised over $100,000 which will help them to continue partnering with after-school programs to provide year-round dance classes with an educational focus on respecting, understanding and accepting all cultures for the purpose of peace and unity.

The organization honoured Jenny Morgenthau, former Executive Director of The Fresh Air Fund for over 32 years; and Alvin Adell, MD, currently the Associate Director of the Department of Anesthesiology at Harlem Hospital and Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Columbia University.

Legendary singer and Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame artist, Debbie Harry, showed her support and performed live with Dance to Unite students! Her catalogue of music speaks volumes. She has sold more than 40 million albums and has been in over 30 film and television roles to her credit.

She sang her hit songs and classics like Call Me, One Way or Another, and Rapture with multi-instrumentalist Matt Katz-Bohen with Dance to Unite students and teachers. DJ Donna D’Cruz had the festivities booming with a hot set to finish the celebrations.
