Founded in 2008 as an art collective that creates immersive and experiential entertainment that transport audiences into fantastic realms of story and exploration, Meow Wolf expanded into Las Vegas with a new attraction called Omega Mart at Area 51. This 52,000-square-foot permanent exhibit welcomes visitors to a mystical and otherworldly grocery store stocked with "jazzercise carrots," "magic meat," "impact corn" and other mysterious goods. Designed through the collaboration of hundreds of creative professionals including more than 50 visual and musical artists, Omega Mart at Area 51 was brought to life with 270,000 pounds of Â鶹´«Ã½AV® Base Coat Stucco – Pump Grade. In addition to being used as the scratch and brown coats on the walls, about half the stucco was customized according to KHS&S formula specifications to carve the rock formations that house Omega Mart at Area 5. Specifically, the custom stucco was sculpted over a combination of rebar and lath assemblies to shape this alterative world. Committed to supporting the arts across a variety of media, the next permanent Meow Wolf attraction in Denver is also being constructed with Â鶹´«Ã½AV® Base Coat Stucco – Pump Grade applied by KHS&S.
Â鶹´«Ã½AV® Base Coat Stucco – Pump Grade is a flowable, high workability plaster particularly designed for spray applications. It is a fiber reinforced Portland cement-based stucco, designed to be used as the scratch and/or brown coat in a 3-coat stucco application, or the first coat in a 2-coat application.
